Wednesday
Heya to all,
Feeling really tired after a long day in school. It's the last day of school-going for this week - but still I will be at home doing my project and 2 individual assignments. I have finally seen Prof Benedict Koh and Darjee about the calculations for bonds and insane consumer behavior assignment. The questions are crazy...
Anyway, I learnt quite a few new stuffs from Darius. Frankly, I'm just tooooo sleepy to play anything or think of anything. Having a little headache... Prolly, will sleep early and have a fresh start tomorrow. It will be CB individual and poetry assignments to conquer. =0) Then, my fav music lesson to brighten up my day. HoPeFuL, carmen would want to watch the Italian Job with me again
CARMEN U DIDN"T SMS ME UR HOME ADDY
This girl really drives me crazy!
Last and not least, MISS u lotz GERRIE! This is a little explaination ... on what the poem means.
Emily Dickinson is tha daughter of this famous congress personal. With the high-level of publicity, she feel very indifferent about fame and nationalism. She is a person who value individualism. Due to this indifference, she lives most of her life as a hermit, other than constant correspondance with friends. SO this is her poem ...
I'm Nobody! Who are you?
Are you--Nobody--too?
Then there's a pair of us?
Don't tell! they'd advertise--you know!
Nobody here is like a characteristic or a personality of a person. It's like saying - I'm Madeleine or I'm clever .... U can understand her want to shun away from people and publicity ... above states the reason why she likes to be a nobody
How dreary--to be--Somebody!
How public--like a Frog--
To tell one's name--the livelong June--
To an admiring Bog!
.. To be somebody - maybe she has to live up to her father's expectation -which cause her a lot of misery. ... Frog may mean prince [frog that turn into a prince]... The last part - I don't really understand ... but maybe it's very public to tell one's name .... it's equally as public as admiring a bog in JUNE.
Bog : An area having a wet, spongy, acidic substrate composed chiefly of sphagnum moss and peat in which characteristic shrubs and herbs and sometimes trees usually grow.
